The Goddess of immortality
The myth of Psyche concerns a human princess, who wasn't allowed to
look at the face of her divine husband, and son Eros. But curiosity
made her defy the ban and Eros fled.While Psyche is asleep, love only
can wake her , Eros awakes herand she becomes devine. A confrontation
of a woman with the blind desire of love and the mysterious double of
a man, and his obscure ego.
Aphrodite overwhelmed her with a chapter of tests, from which she emerged
victorious and reached immortality.*
The « Psyche » in ancien greek, is the study of the soul. The « Psyche »
is all of the psychological phenomena that constitute individuality.
Psyche is the symbol of human soul, purified by passion and misfortune,
ready to enjoy in love, an eternal happiness.
A Psyche is also a big mobile framed mirror, that can be freely tilted
to show everything from its top to bottom.
